Why we Give

We believe that the heart of the gospel message is one of giving, generosity, and sacrifice. We see this exemplified by God giving his son Jesus as a living sacrifice for our salvation. We follow Jesus’ example and give our first fruits to God in faith, not reluctantly or under compulsion (2 Corinthians 9:7). By doing so, we become dependent on God and allow Him to be our provider. In Luke 21:1-4 we see God’s heart of generosity lived out by the widow who placed her two small copper coins in the offering box.
